This device is a part of the AUTOCOSON and can also be used separately in standard Cone Penetration Testing equipment to eliminate the procedure of screwing CPT rods on and off by hand. Handling the Cone Penetration Testing rods is thus made easier and faster. All the operator has to do is set the rod in the CPT rod screwing device. A sensor will activate the robotic arm to take over the Cone Penetration Testing rod and screw it onto the previous one. During pulling the procedure is reversed. CPT operation is even further improved when the Icone with its thinner cable is used in combination with the Cone Penetration Testing rod screwing device.
